The ILES project aims at contributing to improved environmental sustainability and livelihoods in Pakistan by supporting sustainable economic growth and development. Considering the alarming levels of pollution discharged from industries, the project will focus on an overall improvement in the sustainability of production and consumption practices, with a particular focus on water use and management in water intensive, Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs).
Learn anytime, anywhere
ILES project has helped textile and leather enterprises in Pakistan in reducing their environmental footprint and implemented smart environmental management practices. Based on the experiences and learning from the project ILES in collaboration with National Textile University has developed Online learning portal which is part of ILES outreach and sustainability strategy. The main objective of the portal is to develop the indigenous capacity for Greening the Textile Value Chain and Supporting the Textile Producers for Better Compliance with Internationally Recognized Environment and Social Standards. The learning will help the factories in understanding, responding and adapting to upcoming sustainability requirements as well.
